Mary Weeks, Executive Director
Mary joins Walk-In
with a broad base of experience gained during a 38-year career in social
services, college teaching and nonprofit leadership. She received her
master of social work degree from the University of Minnesota, Duluth.
She has served as executive director of Crisis Connection and YouthLink,
both located in the Twin Cities.

Jim Ayers, Clinic Director
Jim Ayers has been responsible for Walk-In’s counseling services
and volunteer management since 1988. He holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology
from the University of Minnesota, training in theology
and a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy from St. Paul Seminary. A
licensed psychologist, Jim specializes in adult assessment, intervention,
relationship therapies and the assessment and treatment of elderly sex
offenders. Jim is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Minnesota. Send

Gary Schoener, Director, Consultation and Training
Gary is one of the founders of Walk-In Counseling Center and was among its first
staff in 1971. He served as executive director from 1973 to 2010. A licensed
psychologist with numerous awards over the years, Gary is well known for his
expertise and consultation on more than 5,000 cases of professional misconduct
and is an internationally known expert on ethics and professional boundaries.
Gary is regularly called on as an advisor, speaker and trainer throughout the
U.S. and around the world. His articles and commentary may be found in many
professional journals and in the media. In addition to his Walk-In service,
Gary also maintains a part-time practice in forensic psychology. Send

Martha Hughes, Clinic and Administrative Coordinator
A graduate of the University
of Minnesota, Martha has been with Walk-In since 1974. Her multiple
roles include volunteer
coordination, fund raising and financial administration. Martha is
often called on by area nonprofits to share her experience and expertise
in volunteer management. Martha also oversees the well-being
of the clinic, building and staff. Send

Pang Chang, Office Coordinator
Pang has a BSW from the College of St. Catherine. As a 'first face of Walk-In'
she greets clients and visitors, making them feel welcome and comfortable.
She is responsible for day-to-day Walk-In operations, client reception, data
management, outreach and the library. Pang joined Walk-In in 2006. Send

Rita Sandidge, Administrative Assistant
Rita is a graduate student in psychology at the university of Minnesota. She
assists with donor services and other office support. Rita has been a part
time staff for 2 years and volunteers as a receptionist.
