WICC Consulting ServicesWICC's consultation is designed to help both professionals and consumers deal with service issues in mental health and related fields. Over the years our program has evolved and diversified. Historically many of our services are provided at no cost to those in our locale who cannot afford or are unable to locate help. These services are unfunded except insofar as they generate fees so pro-bono consultation, which it is still offered, is very limited. What Are Delivery of Service Issues? The term "Delivery of Service" covers a wide range of topics including ethics, impaired professionals, sexual misconduct, client/therapist boundaries, legal violations and risk management. Who should be concerned?Delivery of service issues are of concern to anyone who provides mental health services or otherwise engages in trusted relationships with people. These include: Clergy, physicians, psychologists, social workers, nurses, alcoholism and substance abuse counselors, agencies, religious bodies, and licensing and regulatory boards responsible for these professionals. Also concerned are persons who believe they have been abused or victimized by a professional. ServicesWICC provides a variety of consulting services on issues of delivery of service including consultation on: Risk Management, Impaired Professionals, Legal and Ethical Issues, Sexual Misconduct, Staff Conflict Resolution and Program Development. ResourcesWe have an article titled The Nature of Consent which details some of the issues involved in the matter of informed consent for treatment and experimentation.
