Sharing expertise and advice
Walk-In is regularly called on for its expertise
and advice -- whether it’s consulting for community organizations and mental health agencies,
giving workshops on emerging issues or making presentations to professional
groups. We consult and train across the nation and also internationally,
focusing on professional ethics, boundaries and problems in service delivery. We
also advise professionals with questions about difficult cases. Services
are defined and priced by project. Funds generated from Walk-In’s
consulting and training services are used to support its mission and
priorities.
Services include:
Consulting
- Assessment of practice problems in an organization
- Assessment of impaired professionals or those who have violated boundaries
- Development of rehabilitation plans for troubled professionals
- Boundaries training for those who need to improve their professionalism
Training
- Workshops, seminars and in-service sessions on professional boundaries
and ethics, handling ethical-legal dilemmas, clinical supervision,
addressing sexual misconduct and clients at risk to themselves or others
Writing and Speaking
- Professional presentations, articles and publications on professional
ethics, professional boundaries, clinical supervision and other topics
