If you or someone you know needs help, a number of options are available.
Following are several community resources that may be of help to someone experiencing a mental health crisis. We encourage you or a loved one to contact these or other helping services until you feel you have received the support you need.

24/7 crisis telephone counseling service. Support for a person in crisis or a loved one concerned about another’s safety.
Hennepin County/Minneapolis Area
Hennepin County COPE: 612-596-1223
(Community Outreach for Psychiatric Emergencies)
For Hennepin County residents: 24/7 outreach to a person’s home or in the community to assess for/intervene in psychiatric emergencies and assist with treatment.
Can refer to mobile crisis services in surrounding counties.

Emergency entrance at Hennepin County Medical Center, 8th and Chicago Ave., Minneapolis
24/7 assessment and possible hospitalization for psychiatric emergencies.
Walk-In Counseling Center: No appointment needed. Simply walk in during clinic hours. Services are first come first served, so there may be a wait.

Ramsey County/St. Paul Area
Ramsey County (Adult Mental Health) Crisis Unit: 651-266-7900
Phone and mobile outreach to assess and coordinate psychiatric emergencies.
