Two off-site locations in St. Paul now serve east metro residents.
During the fall of 2010, Walk-In developed partnerships with Family Tree Clinic and First Lutheran Church Love Grows Here Wellness Center. Both offer walk-in counseling as part of a broader mix of services of the partner agency.
"We are delighted to have Walk-In services at the Family Tree Clinic. It allows our clients and people in the community access to mental health services that would otherwise simply not be available to them," commented Alissa Light, executive director of the Family Tree Clinic, a sexual and reproductive health and education program.
Other service providers in the same building agree. Emily Huemann, supervisor of Ramsey County Sexual Offense Services adds: "It is very meaningful to have these services available in Ramsey County. Community members have been seeking a service like this for years and SOS is pleased to be able to make them known to our clients.”
Thanks to the generosity of four east metro funders--The Saint Paul Foundation, the F.R. Bigelow Foundation, the Bremer Foundation and the Katherine B. Andersen Fund--Walk-In provides free mental health services in St. Paul three evenings a week. See clinic schedule.
